Vintage Skirt at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Wipe out Waste event
If you're new here, you may be wondering "What is a Vintage Skirt? Or, you may want to see how one skirt can be tied into many outfits. Otherwise, we'd love you to 'like' us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Finally, we have an online shop from which you can choose your very own unique Vintage Skirt . Thanks for visiting!
The summer fair season has officially begun! We opened out stall at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust “Wipe out Waste” event, exhibiting different uses for what would be generally considered as waste. In case you’re wondering why on earth we were invited: our skirts are made from recycled Indian saris.
It was interesting to see what other small businesses brought to their tables. Not least our neighbour, from the the Natural Death Centre. We’ve not exhibited our skirts next to a cardboard coffin before, but there’s a first time for everything!
Looking for a unique Christmas present?
If you’re bored of giving smellies and socks for Christmas and are looking for something unique then a Vintage Skirt could be your answer. Made from two recycled Indian saris, each one is completely unique. And because they are a wrap skirt, there’s no worries about what size to buy. One size fits all, just chose from 3 lengths. As a guide, our mid-length are the most popular.
A Vintage Skirt is perfect for this time of year teamed with tights, boots and a cosy jumper and certainly brightens up a winter wardrobe. Then when spring returns, be creative and chose from the many ways to wear
Light to post, they’re great for family and friends abroad, but hurry before the last posting dates are upon us!

Ice Cream & Vintage Skirts at Shockerwick House
Claire and I had a really pleasant day yesterday at the Shockerwick House Summer Fete and Dog Show. We displayed our new collection of Vintage Skirts, just in, for the first time; they had a great reception.
Just two days before the Fete, the ice cream man had to cancel. We couldn’t bear the thought of an event with children without ice cream so, with the permission of the organisers, we took matters into our own hands! It was my first attempt at selling ice cream and, based upon my performance, let’s just say that Duncan Bannatyne won’t be having any sleepless nights just yet (he started-out selling ice cream, you know). We were left with a fair amount of frozen stock at the end of the day. Claire and I don’t actually have a freezer at home, so I’ve a sneaking suspicion that the residents of Shockerwick House care home will be having ice cream as dessert for a day or two…
I’m pleased to say that our skirts faired rather better than our ice cream and our pitch had the most magnificent countryside view (see photo).
Well done to the team at Shockerwick House for organising such a great family day out, we wish you every continued success in the future and hope to be invited back for your Christmas market.
